BonApp!
BonApp! is designed to help people find and organize recipes, and plan, shop, and deliver delicious, healthy meals.
It provides tools for mealtime inspiration, recipe import and management, and nutritional tracking.
There's a full feature comparison on our Features page, but briefly, here's what we believe truly sets us apart:
A focus on You. Finding, planning, and shopping for tasty, nutritious meals takes time and energy. We focus on solving real mealtime headaches — bringing balanced mealtime ideas, organizing all your favorite recipes, and using technology to make life easier.
Shared benefits. BonApp! features a recipe library augmented by user activity, where every recipe saved or imported helps other home cooks find inspiration too.
Shaped by your voice. BonApp! evolves based on real feedback from people who use the app every day, ensuring our roadmap tracks your real-world needs.
Yes, absolutely. BonApp! lets you import recipes from Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and your favorite blogs or websites in just one click. The app automatically cleans up the clutter and formats everything into a clean, easy-to-read recipe layout.
Before you start, make sure the social media post or video caption actually has the recipe written out in the text — our smart importer reads text, but it can't read a photo of text just yet.
Just snap a photo of your fridge, and BonApp! automatically identifies your ingredients to find delicious, healthy recipes you can cook instantly with what's already on hand.
You can easily search our database of 60,000+ recipes using advanced filters to find exactly what you need. You can filter by:
BonApp! analyzes the ingredient list for every recipe you import or create. By matching each ingredient to data from the USDA FoodData Central, the system sums up the nutritional values across the entire recipe to calculate total calories, macronutrients, key micronutrients, and a nutrition score.
Yes — just add from the plan screen or the recipe item menu, or drag and drop recipes as needed. Scale serving sizes and select meal type. When you're ready, you can generate a complete, organized grocery list from your plan in just a few clicks.
Your shopping lists are generated automatically from your meal plan, or directly from a recipe, and scaled to your serving sizes. The list automatically groups items by aisle or recipe, and you can share the list via WhatsApp or text with anyone passing the store.
Yes. If you're switching from another app or a personal collection, you can add recipes manually, import them from websites, or scan them from books and recipe cards — everything ends up organized in one searchable library.
Your My Recipes collection is always private — your notes, photos, and edits are visible only to you. When you import from a publicly accessible source, like a public Instagram post or blog, the recipe may also appear in BonApp!'s shared collection for others to discover. Imports from private sources — your own photos, handwritten notes, or personal cookbook scans — stay private.
Your recipes belong to you. If you want to leave BonApp!, you can export all of your recipes at any time via Settings. We hope you'll join us again down the road when the time is right!
